Confession 104
The 104th training precept: Knowingly wandering where there are tigers, wolves, and lions.
Origin Story
Location as before. There were bhikkhunīs who were wandering on remote paths. They encountered much danger by tigers, wolves, and lions. The lay people were upset, as explained in detail, down to: “I’ll lay down another training precept. You should recite it like this:
Final Ruling
‘If a bhikkhunī knows that in a place there are dangers from tigers, wolves, or lions, and wanders there, it’s a pācittiya.’”
Explanations
“A bhikkhunī” is as above.
“Knowing that in a place there are…” means knowing that there are tigers and wolves.
